Dwarven

The Dwarven language is very similar to the Germanic languages & Elvish, and specifically the northern Scandinavian variants. This allows them to communicate to a lesser extent, yet is sufficiently different to constitute a separate language in of itself. This leads to the problem of only the most rudimentary communication between Dwarves and Germanic speakers. Both use the Germanic Runic system for writing, and the Dwarves prefer to record their writings on long lasting material such as stone, or metal, and even on gems. Their language is also a variant of Elvish as it's base language, and the Germanic (Indo-European) introduced later when encountering Midgard.
