Civil action
The people of Orantos rebelled against their royal family. The members of the royal family were either killed, exiled, or did not resist the rebellion in the first place. As a result, Orantos, the last city that officially considered themselves Arethian, disbands the kingdom of Arethas and renames itself to Yaverna. This marks the end of the fall of Arethas.
The family of Orantos was closely related to the royal Arethian bloodline. They had worshipped Arthanios from the moment he ascended. The people of Orantos were fed up with the forced worship of Arthanios and overthrew their rulers. Most statues of Arthanios and other Arethian rulers were destroyed along with any items relating to their religious status. The leader of the rebellion, a middle aged woman called Yaverna killed Lord Orantos and claimed his crown.
When the rebellion had concluded she walked up the stairs of the palace, put on the crown and was unanimously accepted by the crowd as the new ruler.
