Ironpeak

Ironpeak is a city unlike any other in the world, for it is situated inside a lone mountain, a towering peak that looms over the southeastern edge of the Bitterlands. The mountain is also called Ironpeak, and it is known throughout the land for the ancient metalworks that have been in operation within its depths for millennia.   At the heart of Ironpeak lies a massive furnace, its fires burning continuously for the past 5000 years. The furnace is fueled by the rich deposits of ore that are mined from deep within the mountain, and it is said that the flames are tended by the spirits of the first metalworkers who mastered the art of smelting.   The furnace is a sight to behold, with flames that leap high into the air and a roar that can be heard for miles around. Its heat radiates through the mountain, making the air thick and heavy with the scent of burning metal. Yet, despite its intensity, the furnace has never gone out, and it is said that it will burn for as long as the mountain itself stands.   The metalworks of Ironpeak are a source of pride for the city's inhabitants, and they are renowned throughout the land for their craftsmanship and skill. The iron, steel, and other metals that are produced within the mountain are of the highest quality, and they are in high demand among the kingdoms and empires that surround the Bitterlands.   Deep within the mountain lies a vast network of mines, where miners toil day and night to extract the precious ores that feed the furnace. The mines are dark and dangerous, but the miners are a hardy and resilient lot, and they take pride in their work, knowing that they are contributing to the prosperity and power of their city.
