Karnov & Son’s Finery
Tucked into the gently arched bend of Gilded Crescent, Karnov & Son’s Finery’s glass storefront showcases the latest fashions and classic cuts, as well as simpler wares for the less style-obsessed shopper. The shop is clean and modern, if a bit musty.
Darin and Leoven Karnov
The shop’s proprietor, Darin Karnov, is a living legend in his industry, though few would know it from his unassuming exterior. At 63 years of age, he’s got more energy than most men half his age, and his wrinkled visage beams with a warm smile anytime a would-be customer arrives. Though he has outfitted nobles and royalty, his true passion lies in helping common folk look their best, as he did starting out in his native Bruslavya.
The son in Karnov & Son’s, Leoven Karnov, is somewhat more reserved than his father. With his sharp sense of style and immaculately waxed moustache, the half-elf takes great pride in his work to the exclusion of his interpersonal skills. He is undeniably his father’s son, however, as his skill in designing and crafting modern suits and accoutrements is second to none.
The duo’s work is especially popular among traveling bards and acting troupes, who will often travel to Kingsmarket solely to be outfitted by them.
Shop Interior
The shop features a large display area with styles for every occasion, including floor-to-ceiling windows facing the street. A side room, packed with reams of fabric, a loom and a couple of workstations, is also the entrypoint for the shop’s changing rooms.
