Boggard
Boggards are amphibious humanoids who have acted as custodians of the rivers and swamps of Kaya'ab for eons. Those who wander into boggard territory and treat nature with respect leave with tales of the kind and gracious amphibians of the forest. Those who wander recklessly are often unable to tell any more tales at all.
The life of a nomadic boggard belies the strength of those who sustain it. Some leave by accident, going ashore for too long as their village drifts away, and thus must travel to locate their home. Boggards may also be forced to migrate when outside forces threaten their natural resources and waters.
Boggards are a rare but not unheard of sight outside of Kaya'ab. They tend to favour temperate, arboreal nations, such as Valoria.
