Sifting

Sifting is an extension of Soulbinding which allows a person to peer into the plane of Matroka, allowing them to see the imprints left on the plane of the memories of those who have passed on. This gives them a number of abilities, including being capable of witnessing how someone died and conjuring the phantoms images of their imprint for others to see. They can even make contact with the spirits of the departed whom they are closest to, or whom they have helped move on, and beckon them from the beyond without needing to bind their souls first. They can retrieve a spirit's memories from Matroka in order to restore a corrupted spirit's sanity, allowing them to pass on to the afterlife, often allowing them to call on these spirits to fight for them in return.
