Mount Orilux
The largest of the mountains located at the western end of The Iron-Core Range. Its name means the rising lights and references the incredibly bright flame that can often be seen at night moving around the mountain top.
This mountain has significant cultural influence on sailors that frequent the north-western side of the Encompassing Sea. Mt. Orilux has been used as a natural lighthouse for centuries, helping sailors reach Kytren's Bay without incident.
Myths speak of a time when Kroasher and Phenir were caught in a fierce feud that lasted for many years. Eventually the feud ended, and as a sign of peace Phenir placed a piece of himself to act as a light atop the mountain to aid Kroashers followers in the travels.
Ancient Akeshians that lived in the plains below believed a slightly different story. Some made claims that they had seen the light up close and that it was caused by a great winged beast. Over time many believed this go be Phenir himself and began to worship the creature. They would make pilgrimages to the top of the mountain where it was claimed the beast roosted.
