King Snurre, Lord of the Azer

Powerful fire giant and king of Skormheald, a fiery Azer realm located beneath the city of Harlequin, inside Mount Imix. Killed by the Forerunners of Prophecy. Twice.

History

The Azer of Skormheald were brought into being centuries ago by Dwaerin, the Living Flame. They lived a secretive but peaceful existence in the depths of Mount Imix, unnoticed by the human citizens of Harlequin above. King Snurre, though, drawn to power by the corruptive influence of the living flame, made a compact with Ethilendra to harness the power of the Dwaerin for their own personal gain. King Snurre was killed by the Forerunners of Prophecy moments before his goal, and only in his final moments did he realize that he had been betrayed by Ethilendra, who was working to fulfill the Seer's Prophecy. Two years later, Ethilendra used the Dwaerin to resurrect the body of Snurre and employed him as a protective warden of Crux, where he was again (and for the last time) killed by the Forerunners.
