Doom, the Friendly Necromancer

Powerful undead necromancer driven by a pupose to reform necromancy and use it for good. An ally of the Forerunners of Prophecy, he is usually accompanied by his undying (but highly breakable) troll companion Charles.

History

An undead construct created centuries ago, Doom waged war against the living as a young, impressionable necromancer in the Barren Wastes of the Northlands. Eventually, he turned his unlife around and began a PR campaign to demonstrate the positive aspects of necromancy. In 181 KE, he encountered the Forerunners of Prophecy while running a demonic research experiment near Crux. After the heroes killed an inadvertently-summoned Glabrezu, Doom became their ally--despite the stringent protestations of Polaris Te'Laetheriel. Doom aided the Forerunners in imprisoning Ladesh the Ageless inside the Thunderhammer, and was pivotal in Mordai's elevation to archwizard, teaching him the Mass Heal spell. After the Battle of Prophecy's End, Doom continues to roam the lands of Aedrus in his ceaseless queset to rehabiliate necromancy.
