Trademark weapon used by the war-minstrels of the Vol'Tan Yaboni. Ser Mathias Ares must have brought one back from his adventures in the Northlands.  

Attributes

Aural Bom-bard-ment. As an action, can fire a heavy crossbow bolt up to 30/90 feet for 1d10 piercing damage. Reloading requires an action.   Piercing Chord of Valor. As an action you can strike a special chord on the warlute. One creature of your choice has advantage on their next roll. You can not use this feature on yourself and a creature can only be affected by it once per long rest. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.   Rhythm of Battle. When an enemy (up to 60 feet) misses you with an attack, you can use your reaction to immediately cast Vicious Mockery against it. This can be done (your level divided by 6) times, rounded up. Recovers from a long rest.  

Vicious Mockery

  You unleash a string of musical insults laced with subtle enchantments at a creature you can see within range. If the target can hear you (though it need not understand you), it must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or take 1d4 psychic damage and have disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn.
