Azzerad the Ageless

Vampire Lord from the Barren Wastes. Azzerad is relatively young for an Ageless, and became infamous for his impulsiveness and cruelty.

History

Headstrong and vindictive, Azzerad scours the Northlands in search of victims and power. Eager to consolidate his strength, and deliriously vain, he is feared by the Yaboni tribes and Orc clans alike. Drawn to the might of the Avelornic sword Murandir, he wiped out the Olmen city of Tamoachan in pursuit of its power. Azzerad was defeated by the Forerunners of Prophecy but in a last-ditch effort to survive, he planted his vampiric heart inside the Epinoin chieftain Mordai. After the Forerunners defeated the Wolfdweller clan atop the Sodden Spire, Azzerad freed himself from Mordai, and as a "gift," resurrected the Epinoin tribe as undead thralls under the young chieftain's command.
