RIM Tech, Rydan Institute of Mechanical Technologies
Rim Tech, that is the Rydan Institute of Mechanical Technologies, is the premier university and cutting edge research facilities of mechanical engineering and technology. This massive campus, its many buildings, libraries and towers, as well as its laboratories and research facilities, containing Rydan's Magisterium Campus, for the combined studies of magnitech, has the historical pedigree to back up those claims both old and new. The place that manna gems were first to be understood, their capabilities discovered. The place where steam tech was at least first theorized, even if our riva- I mean peers in the northlands of Durol would be the ones to take theory and make it practical. We are the birthplace of Magni-tech, and of course Automotative studies and the Automotans, as we well as magnimechs. Further more the majestic Sky-Ships, and even the first of the Forgeborn, a blessing of Cormaq Thunderhand, recognition of our prestige, were here. Our honored graduates, so many, too many to name them all here, even include the saint Rian Gergauge, the progenitor, the creator of Automotans.
Our facilities are second to none, we are a symbol both in Waston, and worldwide, of engineering and technological excellence. The drive and desire to become more, to learn more to be a master of our craft. Our graduates leave here with the promise well kept, having guarantees of careers, of funding for their studies, and of being paid as a grandmaster of their craft. They leave ready to take the stage of the world amongst guilds of their peers across Valerick, to lead the fields of science and technology. They leave here armed to advance our societies ever forward. Our libraries are the most profound of the sciences one could hope, including a shared wing with the Magisterium, covering the vastness and breadth of the technological applications of magnetech both real and theorized. We house the greatest and most varied testing facilities and research labs of which our students will spend much of their time, learning both theory and application, earning their lab hours and education not just through reading but through application. The best and brightest oft remain, and become the founders of the next studies, experiments and lab tests that will guide the next students and see the next generation of understanding come. Thus almost all through the year these calls and presentors head out to various communities, learning institutes and lesser schools to give these presentations, including this excerpt and dates for the week of entering, a RIM Tech tradition to choose from the crop of potential new students. However particularly in the last three decades the institute has had to take on more and more foreign students and money to keep afloat and keep their facilities funded.
