Manus' Monument
"Charming, I know. This monument truly speaks wonders. I've had chats with scholars from Erialla. I think this is going to be the largest man-made object in all of Aitso. Height-wise, of course. Yes, this may even be able to warp Lyndewn City into what it should be. Our home. Our salvation,"Manus is a reviled figure within The Blackstone Legion's culture. A dark being of incredible strength, who's skin is said to be made of primordial blackstone. To other cultures, Manus represents tyranny, struggle, and conflict. These aspects only linger across foreign lands and distant cultures - as Manus represents purification, change, and conquest in the Blackstone Legion. Different aspects of their conquest had been given names that had represented Manus - certain parts of their armour - the banners that specific formations used, as well as general forms found within their culture. Depictions, homages, and naming conventions are all tied to Manus in one way, or another.
- General Wujing, upon his arrival to Volutaria via interplanar transport.
The same can be said about the Manus Box, a powerful magical artifact that belongs to the Blackstone Legion.
"King Berwick was a simple man - having little important things to himself - other than his crown. He was brutal, savage, and didn't care for love, attachment, or care. He had no wife, just concubines. He had no wardrobe, just artisans to make him his attire. He has no love - only hatred. So, why did he have this? Placed on his empty desk - he had this strange box. Grukle didn't have it, during his reign, and Monarch Gorlag has no clue on what it is. He gave it to us, in order for us to figure out what it means,"
- Celrei, discussing with adventurers about the strangeness of a Manus Box.
