Lyndewn City
"The largest city in all of Aitso. Rumours say, that those who peer at us from beyond our world, they can see Lyndewn, the incredible sight that it is, It emits light - it can block out the stars and worlds above, and silence the beings of below. Lyndewn is everything right with this world - and is everything wrong with it, too. Collective, yes, but collective in what? Production? Suffering? Nothingness made manifest?"Lyndewn, the region that connects the South Western region of Aitso, the Wayfarer's Belt, with the mainland, is known for its central city, named after the region itself. This is due to the immense scale of Lyndewn City, with its metropolitan nature being able to outscale Halland Island, as well as other islands found in the Wayfarers Belt. Lyndewn was made to be incredibly large, encompassing mountain ranges, great plateaus, and coastal regions, on either side of the landmass. The western scale of Lyndewn, which thins down into a stray line of land, breaks off into the first islands of the Wayfarer's Belt. In contrast, the eastern scale of Lyndewn, characterised by its large mountains and dangerous landscapes, eventually trails off into the isolated region of Lydgartha.
Lyndewn, itself, is home to millions of people, who live across the boroughs and regions of the city, are all handled by different Orders and Factions. As the city is too large to be individually governed, the role of authority is spread amongst elected representatives who hold the values of their people at heart. There are 17 boroughs, in total, ranging from Central Lyndewn, the most important of all of the boroughs as it represents the most important people in the city, the ones who control the supplying to the other boroughs. The central building, said to be the size of a town itself, ensures that all supplies can be delivered without issues. Most people in Central Lyndewn are peasants, blue-collar workers, or faremen. A large river streams through the west-side of this borough, where most ships travel through. Lyndewn represents the barrier between the two regions it finds itself on.
