Celestial / Cosmic
The war between the dragon gods occurs, forcing all dragons to choose sides and fracturing both the Draconic Inquisition and the Gods themselves.
The war of the Dragon Gods was started when one dragon god currently unknown killed another. Every single dragon god in the pantheon knew at once, and those that believed the killing was not punishable or agreed with it sided with that dragon. The others sided with the fallen god. After 100 years of skirmishes and debates. Eventually, the conflict became a battle between Tiamat and Bahamut, the most powerful gods. Bahamut sided with the fallen god due to being a god of justice and law. Tiamat sided with the killer because she would have an excuse to kill other dragon gods and take their power. These two gods were so influential that the conflict was no longer about the unjust death of a dragon god. During the Strife of Yacimen, a legendary battle between the two, they simultaneously wounded one another near-fatally. Tiamat fled to the one plane of existence she could stay, the 9 hells, and became an archdevil. Bahamut fled to Mount Celestia and hasn't left since because his wound would kill him if it stopped healing because of the poison of Tiamat. However, on the battlefield where their blood was spilled, humanoids emerged from the blood. These were the first dragonborn, which the surviving dragons from the war took as powerful slaves.
