The Dungeon Scouts

The Dungeon Scouts are a multiversal non-profit organization promoting entrepreneurship, leadership, and adventuring skills to young children, honing them into the future of dungeon-crawling, monster-slaying, realm-saving heroes. Dungeon Scout Local Troop #432, based in The Rookery, have recently undergone a change in leadership after coercing Glimmer Silksong and Vespera Toussaint to sponsor them following the betrayal of their former Scoutmaster, Agatha Whirlseed.

While the Dungeon Scouts were once a prevalent volunteer organization upon Frostide, by all accounts Troop no. 432 is the last remaining active branch upon the continent. Their status in Y479 was precarious following the sudden abdication of their former leader, Agatha, a horrible woman who deeply hurt and betrayed her three Scouts by absconding with the secret recipe for Dungeon Scout Cookies. They kept their entrepreneurial spirits alive by canvassing the neighbourhood of Ravensroost, hoping to find someone willing to sponsor them for the season.

A pair of willing marks were readily found in Glimmer, who had always been jealous of his sisters' membership in the organization back home, and Vespera, who had been a troop member in her childhood. Swayed by the plight of the girls, they agreed to serve as Troop Leaders, though they would only be staying for a short time. A ceremony was held in their former headquarters, an empty lot tucked behind the main road of the Rookery, inducting their new leadership — and their friends — into the ranks, vowing to help recover the recipe and restore the Dungeon Scouts of Frostide to their former glory.

Heidi was the one to warn the party of strange sounds coming from the derelict Church of the Herald, prompting them to investigate the site. The Scouts were instrumental in getting the party in and out of the building, helping them avoid detection as they scouted out the area following The Stormcallers' increased presence within.

When the party and The Wild Hunt were preparing to leave, the trio informed their new friends they had been invited to join the Hunt by Luria Frostfang, who had taken a liking to the girls. On the journey toward Sanctum, Owlivia went missing in the base of the Glass Peaks, prompting the party to search for her. The found her tending to a litter of gnoll cubs at a near-abandoned camp once a stronghold of The Laughing Rime Clan. Only nine members of the tribe remained, having been ravaged by "The Sick", a plague that had been spreading amongst the gnoll population of Frostide for months. At Owlivia's behest, the party aided in the rescue of one of the few remaining members, though he was deemed too sick and corrupted to return to his tribe. Owlivia covered her eyes and shut her eyes when the merciful blow was dealt.

While in Sanctum, the girls took a quick interest in Miss Sweetie-Belle, proprieter of Miss Sweetie-Belle's Bake Shop. Learning that she had once been a member, and her mother a troop leader, they hoped to discover the recipe to the famous cookies. They, particularly Heidi, apprenticed under the baker to hone their skills, but the recipe was water-damaged and unreadable though she did manage to add a single ingredient to the recovery list.

With Luria's permission, the troop now accompanies the party to Fortitude, hoping to track down Agatha the further north into The Alderwood they dare venture. Membership

• Turquoise "Coy" Sharpe — An earth genasi with copper-coloured skin and intricate box-braids interlaced with shining stones. Coy serves as the de facto troop leader due to being one year older than the other girls. Her calm demeanour and grace under fire makes her a valuable asset, though her skills mostly lie in hunting, with proficiency in both Nature and Survival. She seems to have developed a mentor relationship with Luria since being inducted into the Hunt.
• Owlivia Roost — A diminuitive Owlkin beastfolk with soft white plumage and big, pleading blue eyes. Don't let her small stature fool you, though: she is as loud and assertive as they come, and her sqwuaks can be heard from miles away. Impulsive and dangerously flighty, she has a bad habit of getting herself into trouble, but she's rather adept at talking her way out of it, with proficiency in Persuasion and Intimidation.
• Heidi Smashmouth — A shy, well-meaning orc with pasty blue skin and a head of cotton-candy blue hair. Though she may be the largest of the trio, she is skittish and makes her presence as small as possible, with a voice that can scarcely be heard over the wind. Her talent for baking is surpassed only by her talent for sneaking around, with proficiency in Stealth helping her get the girls into places they shouldn't be... even if she'd rather not be there herself.
• The Party (ASOS3): Glimmer (leader), Vespera (leader), Sparrow, Kirmat, Rumblestrike

Due to Agatha's mismanagement and stranglehold of the troop during her tenure, troop no. 432 is considered well behind on typical badge progression, something Vespera has taken particular interest in remedying.
