Meld's Womb Cavern

Meld's Womb Cavern is a cave in the region of Meld's Mouth. It is the last known settlement of Madrun Morgana, one of the Nine Lilies and confidant to Sheena Mirverch. It is said that Madrun would often come to this cavern, which requires a hike through woodland to reach, whenever she came to visit the mainland. Later, she used this cave to flee from detractors and other such things, and ultimately, she was seen heading to the cave one day and never returning. Sheena is known to have visited her, or so it is said.

There are noxious gases in this cave, and the water nearby is notoriously polluted with a red tide bloom, which makes one wonder how Madrun stayed here for so long, or if she really did at all. Still at various times artifacts and oddities end up there, and it is a space often used to resurrect double walkers as the pollution presents significant overgrowth of new species, allowing the soul to "find" its body more easily.

Sometimes bodies are discovered there, either from being stuck trying to head deeper into the cave to find the underground river that allegedly gave Madrun her visionary powers, or from the bad air, or due to a murder or animal attack. Some also say that the eye Madrun lost is somewhere in the cave.
