Foe : Walk
Rodoric took Bleddynia deep into the Iron Koid with her, but there was something so no-nonsense about his stance that left the young woman more at ease. She couldn’t lie that after he had told her he had an option to help her with her eye pain, even if it wouldn’t restore her sight fully, she was more willing to put their differences aside. It was hard to think that they had both once been top students at Atelier Benjoin Karkebi, and now… well. Bleddynia stayed close to Rodoric in case something untoward found them in the forest.
The atmosphere as they entered the Iron Horseshoe Koid was immediately noticeable to Bleddynia’s senses. The smell of trees was a foreign concept to Threatening Valley, but now there truly was a deep, earthy scent of wood that felt parasitic. Glossy leaves which held onto the last rainwater droplets that were foreign to the rest of the hot and acrid valley, but she didn’t feel quite as threatened until she stepped off a pathway stone made of obsidian and her feet touched the cold and wet groundcover. She shuddered. At least Rodoric had stopped asking her how many spells she could accomplish without her tools and eyes. Just as the forest energy seemed to grow more dense and suffocating, and it felt like her body was going to condense into dew, Rodoric stopped.
There was some shuffling in the darkness, but then Rodoric threw something on the ground and she heard several items land in the grass and ground cover a distance from them.
“Emerge from the static and breathe once more; O children of Koidios,” Rodoric’s low voice muttered as he seemed to pull out some sort of wand or rod which attracted static electricity - Bleddynia could make out the change in energy- the lights dancing and feel the energy sitting on the crown of her head like a halo of lights. There was a low, constant buzzing, and then a sudden zap and satisfying pop of crackling electric energy that cleared out the pressure on Bleddynia’s head. There was a yelp, and another voice swearing angrily, then a tired groan. Four bodies fell from the trees and hit the floor around them, some much larger and heavier than others, and each mysterious weight falling upon the groundcover on which Bleddynia stood shook her to the core.
