Corsagietii
Corsagieti, translating to "The Herdstalkers" is a prominent family and extremeist sect, who claim to be the descendants of the first union between Sulyafuj and Eskorpiuna, or sometimes, the descendants of their last common ancestor. They thus believe themselves to be more ancient than the Milenakos, but genetically, they are not more primitive and aren't even, typically, genetically related the way a traditional extended royal household would be.
Depending on who you hear it from, there are two Godsibbs involved in their mythology -
Laverna Chrysidia (assumed to be a mutation of "Corsagieta"), who is said to be a great female arachnid, but is actually a Cuckoo Wasp.
Asherah Ichna, who is said to represent the mate in the union myth, and is a giant scorpion. She is actually a scorpion fly named Amaymon, who lived in solitude until becoming introduced to Laverna Chrysidia, Gaap Tenodera, and Klepoth Lonomia.
The Corsagietii are extremely wealthy, oligarchal, and genuinely believe that they were gifted by the Goddess to bring civilization to a region that isn't ready for it. Because they welcome outsiders but highly emphasize assimilation and collectivism, they are hard to dive into with malicious intent. Very few people will risk going up against them.
They are one of the sects that is crushed by the Clockmakers, and Galena, their most sacred metal, is outlawed as a symbol of superstition and greed.
In 10 LAA, during the CATU SAMONii X LAA, and the Catu Samonii previous, they were major players. Their King Argentorix was the favourite to win but was ousted by a shocking mutiny and conspiracy. The second time around, Argentorix again makes it very far, but divisions within his family caused by Argantorota, his sister, and his nephew and protege Natricnos. It ends in Asherah Ichna breaking free and disfiguring Natricnos' sister during a match. Asherah and Natricnos are imprisoned in a prison built just for them and later known as the Fertile Devil's Villa, but eventually Asherah eats Natricnos and escapes.
The Herdstalkers employed significant control over the members of their communities and as they became larger and larger, an entire guild of mercenaries whom they would rely on began to form- effectively the first recorded guild of assassins and mercenaries - the Guild of Herdstalkers.
