True A'arden

True A'arden, also known as Old A'arden or Gods' A'arden, is the language that was originally spoken by the True A'arden Deities before they were lifted to Godhood. The language was supposedly a Traders' Tongue, spoken worldwide, and while there were other languages in existence it is the only one to have survived into general use.

True A'arden is structurally identical to the Common Tongue , which itself was derived from Old Xatresian , and is read in an identical manner. However, where Common can have a word with multiple meanings and context becomes important, True A'arden provides context by having different words which, in Common, would be spelt and pronounced the same. For example, "daine" means "land", but specifically refers to a place, whereas "forta", also meaning "land", refers specifically to the earth or soil.
