The Alpha Blade

The Alpha Blade is the sword of the leader of the Blue Wolf Mercenary Group, the High Alpha. It has been passed down from Alpha to Alpha for centuries, and is a symbol of their position and power. Over the years, many have tried and failed to steal or remove the blade from the possession of the Kaynes so that they may become "the Mercenary King", but none have succeeded. The Blade currently belongs to High Alpha Bevyn Kayne, having been passed to him upon the death of his father, Ennis.

The Alpha Blade is a lightweight longsword made from Fey Steel with a wolf head carved from Greensilver upon the hilt, holding the blade in its mouth. It's ruff and ears form the guard, and the grip is wrapped in dark blue leather with silver stitching.

The sword can be used to cast light upon itself at will, and can also be used to cast entanglement, water and wind-based spells, though the specifics of these are known only to the Alphas. The Alpha Blade is magically enhanced and is thought to be Keened, with witnesses to its use stating that the blade "cut through steel and bone as if they were naught but butter".
