Necryga

The Fallen Horror

Once a celestial Naga of great wisdom, the two-headed Dvijachittah was slain and corrupted by the Unholy Pantheon, becoming Necryga, the Fallen Horror. As a Unique Undead, Necryga is the only one of her kind in existence and is considered a Fallen Celestial.

When Necryga first awoke in her new form, she immediately vowed to take revenge on the Unholy Pantheon who had transformed her into a hideous monster, however centuries of torment and corruption have driven her mad. Utilised as a puppet by the Pantheon, Necryga no longer remembers the names or faces of those to which her rage is directed, and instead simply kills any and all living beings that she encounters in the hope that she will fulfill her vengeance and be granted peace. Attempts to parlay with Necryga ultimately end in failure, as she does not trust the words of anyone and therefore believes that all words spoken to her are lies.

Necryga has been entombed and released several times since her downfall; her rampages causing chaos and destruction wherever she went. Most recently, she was defeated and entombed within the The Court of Sails Vaults by a team of Battle Priests, who prevented her from destroying the town of Redmill in Duuintriya.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Necryga is an Undead and thus her appearance is rancid and necrotic in nature. She has no skin nor muscle; her bones held together by sinew, tendons, and Unholy magic. That said, she moves with surprising grace and finesse, and has an unnatural resilience to her.

Body Features

A long spindley spine coated in sinew and tendons, each of the vertebrae the size of a large dinner plate and six inches thick, features two long spines protruding a further eight inches upward and filaments waving from the side. The spine bears snake-like ribs that grate and scratch upon the ground with surprising resilience. Her spine splits into two toward the head end, each long neck topped with a head some five feet long; one a boney stag-beetle like head with glowing filaments and empty eye sockets, the other like a slender, sleek snake skull with glowing eye holes.

Identifying Characteristics

Necryga is most easily identifiable by her Undead nature and differently shaped twin heads. Under the effects of a Detect Evil and Good spell, she identifies as both Celestial and Undead.

Special abilities

As an Undead, Necryga is resistant to poisons and has immunity to Necrotic magic. She has the ability to spew necrotic bile at her enemies, and cannot be truly killed unless her Celestial Essence is dispersed. Additionally, she is a Fifth Grade spellcaster with access to eight spells up to Third Tier: Mending, Sacred Flame, Thaumaturgy, Command, Shield of Faith, Calm Emotions, Hold Person, and Bestow Curse.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Necryga is driven by hatred, rage, and vengeance, though she has long forgotten the reason for her anger. Twisted by the necrotic magics that created her, Necryga knows that she is suffering as little more than a puppet, and thus longs to destroy those who turned her into the tortured creature that she is. However, she does not remember who it was that transformed her, and thus all living beings have become her enemy in the hopes that she may one day find peace.

Representation & Legacy

Given her position as a former Celestial, Necryga, or more specifically Dvijachittah, is used as a warning amongst those of Serpensian heritage to be mindful of the machinations of the Unholy Pantheon. Her downfall highlights that no matter how virtuous or wise someone is, they can always be taken in by the lies of others.

Additionally, Necryga has become something of a boogeyman figure, used to frighten small Serpensian children into behaving themselves.
