Argiope is a female Demon Lord and the Demonic patron of Spiders. She is thought to be the sister of Nephila, the Devil Duke, and the two regularly fight for control over Fiendish spider-kind. While her sister and her "nieces", the Jorougumo, are beautiful and seductive, Argiope and her brood, the Ougumo, are much more monstrous and volatile. It is believed that Argiope and her sister originally found their way to the A'arden Planes of Navia shortly after the Splitting, and they too went their separate ways when they could not agree on how to proceed.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Argiope is a horrific mix of spider and Human-like female, but with an agility that is belied by her monstrous size. She is an intimidating presence that stands roughly 9ft tall when relaxed, but can lift herself up to greater heights upon her spidery legs.
Body Features
With the lower half of her body resembling an Orb Weaver spider and a furred, Human-like torso where the head would be, Argiope has a total of ten limbs; eight legs and two arms. Her hair and skin are purple-black with yellow striped markings, except for the long hair upon her head and shoulders, which is silver in colour. Her spider legs have three claws on each foot, and her fingers are similarly clawed. Upon her head are two sets of smooth horns that separate out into two slight prongs. Argiope has a spinneret on her abdomen from which she creates her silken webs.
Facial Features
Argiope has spider-like features, including a bony upper lip and chelicerae. She has two Human-like eyes with six additional spider eyes on her forehead, all of which are black in colour. She has a set of pointed ears which are usually hidden by her hair.

Contacts & Relations
Azazel
Argiope admires Azazel, but also fears him for his power. She tends to keep away from his lands, and her Brood try to avoid him as much as possible.
Family Ties
Nephila
Argiope and Nephila are sisters who arrived in the A'arden Planes of Navia together but parted ways due to a difference of opinion. The two have since become bitter enemies, constantly fighting for control over spider-kind.
