"Graven" - The Black Spot

Okay, so this Curse is only tangentially related to my own set of themes in that it utilises Undead as a component of its punishment, but I'm okay with that! I had thought about using this particular entry for "Torment", but in the end decided to go with "Graven" because of the two ways in which the Curse is "graven" onto the bearer. And yes... "Shiver My Timbers" is now playing on repeat in my brain!

The Black Spot is a Divine Curse most commonly seen on sailors or those who have instigated betrayal out at sea. It is a source of great torment, as not only is a literal Black Spot emblazoned upon the body, but an Echo of the wronged individual is engraved onto the betrayer's Soul.
