No man's land
"Si vis pacem, para bellum"
Structure
There really isn't much of an organizational structure, the wasters are an unorganized group of people that prevent war from breaking out. Generally small squads with a leader work separately on different projects.
Culture
Community and violence are the key values of the wasters; they solve their problems not through diplomatic action but through attacking armies when outnumbered 10-1. They also have a strong sense of loyalty as they are generally up against the world, they have to be in order to survive.
Public Agenda
Internal
Within themselves wasters have a strong sense of duty to their cause: Preventing war. As such their public agenda is to prevent war by any means.
External
They are not diplomats. Most countries would tell you that their agenda is
Don't attack anyone and we won't kill you
Assets
Currency
Due to the rather unorganized nature, most funds are in the form of traders throughout the territory of which there are approximately 1000 Seelies that are in the territory.
Troops
Approx. 7,000 armed soldiers
Weapons
They have access to all manner of guns and have even come up with a few creative weapons themselves, they do not, however, have access to a nuclear arsenal or an anti-nuclear defense system.
Transport
Approx. 1/3 of soldiers possess some form of transport.
Fortifications
There are many cities, but the most fortified among them are prepared to withstand siege for up to 30 days.
History
The history of the NML faction is wild and varied. They started as the central region of the USA, then after the seals broke, they became several separate towns, each of these towns have their own histories and cultures making an overall timeline rather impossible, however, every town in this organization has its own timeline separately.
Demography and Population
Species
NML is inhabited by all manner of species of which it treats equally.
Divisions of population
As they are mostly surrounded by enemy states most of their population is in the central North American region as well as some to the north near Canada.
Birth/Death rate
For every 1 death 1.5 children are born
Territories
NML possess all territories not claimed by rival nations, these areas are held however, and they will not allow these nations to march through them unchecked or claim them as their own.
Technological Level
They have access to a 21st century level of technology mixed with magic in certain areas, but most areas don't have access.
Religion
So, you know real world religions? Pretty much all of those. Also, the Drakists, who are much nicer and pretty much just worship Bahamat or Tiamat peacefully.
Agriculture & Industry
Agriculture
As they are smack dab in the middle of Great plains, they do quite a bit of farming, many villages pop up near rivers for water and survive mostly off of what they grow and what they find. What they can't eat they sell back to Canada or The Southern Goblinoid republic.
Industry
There are many industrial areas still functioning, but whatever steel or other useful industrial items they find they will use or sell.
Trade & Transport
The NML uses roads from before the magi-apocalypse to transport goods in and out of the territory. They trade primarily with Canada, trading food or guns for manufactured goods or oil.
Education
Elementary
Almost all cities have some form of elementary education, most of the population is educated up to a 5th or 6th grade level. In areas that do not, children are commonly homeschooled.
Secondary
In terms of secondary education, ie: middle and high school, larger more central population centers will have commonly had free access to these, they will include weapons training and survival tactics in the curriculum. In most areas that do not have these schools' children will be educated by parents in survival and weapons technique, but the core subjects for these schools are less commonly included.
Advanced
3 cities have access to advanced education in NML, with one of these being a classical college, and two being magic, however given the organizations positive relationship with Canada, those who have the means often choose to go to a Canadian college.
University
There is one university in NML they offer the following the degrees:
- Wilderness medicine
- Specialist Herbologist
- Engineering
- General hunting/gathering
- Specialist Bowsman

This organization controls the central North America, territory bordering what used to be Kentucky, some parts of Canada, what used to be nevada, and some of Mexico in the southern regions.

Laws? Whoever heard of Laws?
As you can imagine, a sparcly organized anarchist faction has little in the way of laws, each of its separate towns may have its own code of laws as system for making them, but they don't enforce them beyond their domain.
What laws would a court interpret?
Once again, we come to another quirk of semi-organized anarchy, no Executive system! However, mob justice can do the trick.
