Sultan (a.k.a. The Reluctant Tyrant)

Backstory: Vaelzorr never wanted to be a leader, content to serve as a general under a more ambitious Sultan. However, when The Crack decimated the ruling leadership, Vaelzorr was thrust into power. His initial reluctance gave way to the realization that, to save his people and the other races, he would have to make impossible choices. The weight of responsibility began to corrupt his ideals. In time, Vaelzorr believed that only through absolute control could the Dragonborn and others survive the apocalypse. His methods became increasingly harsh, and his rule iron-fisted. Though he still acted out of a sense of duty, his willingness to sacrifice the few for the many turned him into a feared and controversial figure.   Outcome: Vaelzorr is remembered with mixed feelings—a leader who saved many but did so at a great moral cost, leaving behind a legacy of both admiration and fear.
