A three-pronged bladed weapon similar to a trident that can potentially stop attacks, disarm opponents, and dismount riders. The added weight makes it difficult to throw. Back in the time when Bukhan and Sumgyeojin were one unified kingdom, the Dangpa was used in highly colorful displays of skill. It is frequently referred to as the flag spear in other languages, as it had a colorful red flag attached in historic reenactments. Its counterpart was the Jangchang, which would typically be about 3 meters in length or close to 10 feet. Melee weapons compared to firearms are quiet, so the Dangpa has come back into fashion in the deserted megacity of Hangyeojin.
