Ammo Types: Fuel
Magazine Size: 8 (every 4d4 counts as one charge, equalling one second spent firing the weapon, spending 1qt. of fuel)
Special Maneuvers:
Fire Stream - Spend 1 charge to unleash a gout of flames in a 60x5 foot line in front of you as an Attack action, dealing 4d4 Fire damage. All targets caught in the area of effect must make a Dexterity saving throw against a DC equal to 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Dexterity or Intelligence modifier, whichever is higher. On a failed save, a target takes the rolled damage, and if they are flammable or any objects they are wearing or carrying are flammable, they start Burning and take 1d4 Fire damage at the start of each of their turns until the condition ends. On a successful save, a target only takes half damage.
Napalm Stream - Pressurize the flamethrower to unleash denser fuel. Spend 2 charges to unleash a gout of flames in a 30x5 foot line in front of you as an Attack action, dealing 4d6 Fire damage. All targets caught in the area of effect must make a Dexterity saving throw against a DC equal to 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Dexterity or Intelligence modifier, whichever is higher. On a failed save, a target takes the rolled damage, and if they are flammable or any objects they are wearing or carrying are flammable, they start Burning and take 1d6 Fire damage at the start of each of their turns until the condition ends. On a successful save, a target only takes half damage.
Backblast - At the cost of 1 charge, push all targets in a 15 foot cone in front of you back an amount in feet equal to 5x Proficiency Bonus, or same as Proficiency Bonus in spaces as a Bonus Action.
Fuel Saturation - As a Bonus Action, expend two charges without igniting it to saturate a 30ft cone in front of the weapon with fuel, can be ignited to double the damage for an attack with this weapon in the cone. Any unprotected flames can potentially ignite the fuel cloud and damage the operator for 4d4 fire damage. This maneuver can be performed once per Short or Long Rest.
Properties
Hazardous Operation - This weapon's fuel tanks can potentially explode if a critical success on an attack roll against the operator is made. As the user, roll a 1d4. On a 1, the fuel tanks explode and deal 4d4 damage to the user.
Incendiary - Any flammable objects start Burning, and any targets that failed their saves also start Burning until the condition is ended early. The amount of Fire damage a target takes depends on the maneuver used.
Loading: Requires a full action to reload
Jamming: The flamethrower does not jam
Handling: 2-handed
A weapon that was used in the latter half of The Great War and used during proxy skirmishes in the Saghira conflicts, the Morgan Arms M3 was officially internationally outlawed but still saw use on the islands. It has a fuel tank, compressor, fuel nozzle, and a tube connecting it to a pair of fuel tanks on the back with an electric ignition system. It is primarily used against fortifications, both choking out the oxygen in an environment very quickly and also igniting anything present. There had been a few instances of ammunition inside bunkers cooking off and erratically firing rounds in all directions, ricocheting inside the bunker. It is also dangerous to the operator, so in conflicts, they were infrequently used.
