[!]First Encounter

I hadn't quite planned out this venture, so things are always surprising me. I haven't had any problems securing resources, but the unsavory individuals I have encountered have given me a run for my money. I had set up camp last night, and some brutes attempted to steal from me. Unfortunately for the three thieves, one had stepped on the hunting trap I had deployed for food, so I was able to catch them searching through my bag, but I was only armed with one of my daggers. Another of the thieves charged me with a shortsword and knocked that dagger out of my hand and rushed me. Thankfully I sustained only minor injuries, nothing that magic couldn't heal. That mysterious weapon is something of wonder. Before I realized that one of the thieves was holding it at the time, I instinctually reached out for the scythe, and it suddenly appeared in my hands. I have no experience with this kind of weapon, the closest being what I use to harvest the grain fields that we sow, but it felt right when I held it, like I had always used this scythe. With it, I twirled it around my body, lunging forward, hooking it down and wrapping the blade around the arm of the assailant. With this I only had to lean back and pull down, cutting off the forearm of the thief that was rushing me, causing them to lose their shortsword. They and one other fled, leaving my belongings and the trapped one behind. He wept and begged for forgiveness, so I told them I didn't want any further trouble. I undid the trap for them, and recovered their wounds. They thanked me, crying the whole time. It seems like that shortsword was the only weapon between the three of them, which he took and left.

I think the first thing I need to do is learn more about this scythe and what else it has done for me.
