Because elves don’t give birth very often, everyone in the village was really excited when Avháara was born. Normally Crying Leaf is a serious place but for the birth of a young elf, a weeklong celebration was held. Unfortunately, perhaps due to Avháara’s strange bloodline her mother, Apsaára died only two months after. Your memories as a young child are vague but you remember that there were happy memories. Even without her mother present.
This all changed one night when the young elfling was only 11 years old. Alvhaara has never learned what exactly happened during that fateful night. All she knows is that she did.. Something. And that there was a fire. No one in the village has ever told her what exactly happened that night but the villagers consider that night as a disaster.
From this moment on the young elf knew she was a sorcerer and that something in her blood that makes her capable of casting spells with ease. She can grow claws that drip with poison, summon a shield to protect her out of nowhere, and with some focus, she can make sure that she never misses any strikes. After that night you and your father, Ariaand Ariaánd had to move to the edge of the village, close to the barracks where most of the soldiers are.
It was only a few years later when disaster struck again. The hated enemy, the drow elves with whom the village is at war, snuck into Crying Leaf and kidnapped Alvhaára. The young girl was retrieved by her father but he had to pay with his life for it. For the remainder of her youth, Alvhaára stayed with her adoptive parents, Zyriel and Gámedra who did their best to take care of the troubled child. Ariaánd has left a letter for his daughter but she does not know this yet.
Over the years the villagers started to avoid Avháara and your family. However, she always felt the eyes of the soldiers on her. The sorceress was forbidden to leave the village and was continuously told to never use her magic by the leaders of the village. Avhaára is definitely not the only magically capable person in Crying Leaf but for some reason, no one wants to help her develop her magical talents. Eviana, the leader of the village is a sorceress herself but she refuses to teach The leader always says that it will come when Avhaára is older and that patience is the strength of the elf. Despite this Avhaára sees elves of her age being trained for war and Avhaára feels she is constantly being lied to. This has been going on for at least 10 years.
The years and experience have left Alvhaára introverted and given her a rebellious streak. She is curious and when she can she reads about the outside world where she aims to escape. She doesn’t care about the lost elven glory of Celwynvian but she does wish to become powerful enough to end the constant war in the Mierani forest. She knows she will never develop her magic in Crying Leaf so she eagerly looks to escape into the world in search of power and riches. Alvhaára gravitates to people who are careful and reserved, just as she is, and can’t stand people who talk too much. It is no surprise that she befriended Astron, a raven.
Alvhaára sports black hair in a long braid. As is custom to elves on Golarion her eyes are jet-black and her physiology has adapted to her environment. Her hands and upper forearms are naturally tinted green and her fingers end in long nails. She prefers to wear black clothing and is often seen wearing a green cape that is indistinguishable from moss.
