Basyre, sweet Basyre . . .

Journeying feels so . . . empty, without them. Two people alone are no match for the world. Thank goodness we will not have to deal with this for long. It's unnatural.
Sam has been taking it worse than I have, I think. I don't know if she realizes our circumstances are only temporary. She seems very torn up about the eggs and the larvae - I have yet to convince her of their utter unimportance. I hope I can help her look towards the future instead of the past - it holds such promise!
 
Unprecedented success on our first day of searching. Walter was located in less than an hour and successfully taken back to our accommodation. He's a little worse for wear, but I cleaned him up as best I can. I have a feeling the rest won't be so easy, but this early victory has put me in high spirits.
 
A new accessory has presented itself to us. His name is Rowan - another Greywater, though none of note. He shares my interest in returning the departed to a functioning body. His formal education can perhaps supplement my own necromantic dealings - two minds will surely progress faster than one. He has not yet proven himself a danger, although he doesn't seem entirely there. This may be a boon - perhaps he will remain too distracted by his own affairs to impede our mission.
