Outline:
Chavabais Fabranover was born to a wealthy young woman who had fallen in love with a Djinn. His grandfather (basically Tywin Lannister from GOT) was an Earl of some importance to the royal court at Dawnwater. Chavabais was loved by his mother but brought shame to his grandfather, as he was born "not just out of wedlock but out of....he's not even human!". A few years later his mother married a respectable young knight and soon had another son(backup Paladin character). Chavabais was something of an open family secrect while Straton kept the Fabranover name and was the official heir. The sons had a happy childhood until the day Straton tried to walk on air like Chavabais and instead fell out of a tower, gravely injuring himself (he was healed/resurrected at great cost). The Earl blamed Chavabais and sent him to live in a nearby monastery.
Chavabais used his innate air powers to fake being a better monk than he was, but did manage to learn a few things. By the time he reached his late teens, Cha had gained a reputation as a party animal. He had always been told to keep his lineage a secret to protect his family's reputation. So he explained his oddities (his blueish hair wafted in non-existent breezes, he weighed way less than he should, he could walk through the air) by saying he had opened his mind to Akadi. With the right drugs/meditation, you could open your mind as well. Cha went from party goer to "good time" facilitator, and his reputation began to spread. Word of his heresy eventually reached the Church of Akadi, who were furious. They sent an emissary to the monastery and Chavabais was expelled. When his grandfather learned of his misdeeds, Chavabais was also banned from the family estate. Full of rage at the unfairness of the world, Cha set out (with a well-padded wallet) to find "a happy place".
Chavabais began traveling from town to town, tavern to tavern, brothel to brothel. Before long he found himself far from his previous life and realized any place could be happy (with the right amount of drugs and people to share them with). He never really meant to start a cult. But when you're good at sourcing and creating power hallucinogenic drugs you tend to gain a following. So he grew a beard down to his waist, began calling himself "Ra-Sharir" and started the "Children of Akadi". (Most of his cult was based on the "Batshit Valley" episode of Documentary Now. It's on Youtube and it's hilarious go check it out.) They would show up in a village/town and set up camp on the outskirts. For the next few weeks/months they would hold raucous parties every night. Eventually the locals would tire (and their money to buy drugs would run out) and the cult would move on to the next town, and repeat the process. There were ups and downs, but by the end the Children of Akadi had a hundred something members.
One fateful morning the Children of Akadi came to a sudden end. In the predawn light, a large troop of well armed men caught the passed out cultists and townspeople by surprise. The troop was mostly local militia, but they were led by a group of Paladins and Clerics from the Knights of the Wind's Four Quarters. The Knights were there to arrest Ra-Sharir and his inner circle and take them to the Temple of Akadi where they would answer for their heresy. Luckily, Ra-Sharir was near the center of camp and had a few moments to prepare when the chaos started. He grabbed what belongings, drugs, and money he could fit in a bag and leapt into the air to make his escape. Dodging arrows and spells, he ran across the tops of trees and quickly out of sight. He kept running until nightfall and made camp on the far side of a river. That night he shaved off his silky blue beard and hair. He dyed his eyebrows black. He did his best to turn his luxurious robe into a simple monk's garment. He woke up that day as Ra-Sharir, the leader of the Children of Akadi. Tomorrow he would awaken as Paris, a friendly but quiet monk.
Paris kept moving south, telling any overly interested parties he was on a pilgrimage to Daria's Point. He decided to try and find an adventuring group to join. That would be a better cover than traveling alone and would also be a source of income other than selling drugs. (He may meet Ben's character in Daria's Point, up to Ben. When he encounters everyone else he is very interested in joining a group that looks more abnormal than him. Who's going to notice his crystal blue eyes and pale skin when he's standing between a dragonborn and a satyr?)
Time/place line:
Paris was born into a rich family near Dawnwater.
At age 12 he moved to a monastery near the Duchy of Westtor?
At 19 he was kicked out, began traveling the high road. Moved all over, maybe as far as Duskveil Fortress.
At 28 the cult was broken up somewhere near Porta Ovest. He ran to Daria's Point and met the group.
