My first few steps towards The Magician's Veil

Well... The ship I was travelling got damage and we got helped by another ship on our route. Little did I know they were pirates. They were friendly and helped me and the others onboard. Without them I would've died. But it seemed they were wanted and I got arrested thinking I was part of them even though I was minding my own business and trying to get to The Magician's Veil. All I wanted was to scoop around the libraries and read their books.
I got taken to a prison island after a long travel at sea... An island owned by the Thassryan(?) family. An elven House who uses prisoners to mine its source. Easy workforce I guess...
 
Meet some new faces there they did look friendly.
Fain, a female Elf. Searching for herself or whatever is lost. She thinks she doesn't belong here. Weird... but interesting! She does look dead'ish. Told us her soul didnt belong to this body. She's nice, she likes to pray to Selune. Her goddess.
Then there is Yorg with his giant pink, plushie Loxodon (Mr. Snuggles?)... Talking about weird... They are both friendly. Yorg is a Firbolg who runs away from engagement it seems. Friendly but I doubt he would be usefull in combat. Time will tell I guess. I do respect him for his past. He took the fall for own of his orphanage kids. A man of honor at the least. Plushie well... Ill find out. Just hope he doesn't randomly explode.
Nora... I like her. She's experienced with a blade as well. She knows how to swing it graciously, it's... impressive. We'll see how she does in combat. Having wings, or able to summon them, will add some extra weight in her favor. She weares a pendant with the emblem of Evandra. Her Goddess. I think she mentioned she came from a place called 'The Serpent's Rest'
Fenara. Weird, likes spices. Also doesn't like to share, preferably a merchant or whatso. We'll see...
 
We got sold to a friendly dwarf, Reginald. Who wants to use as part of a social experiment... To see 'how prisoners handle in a social, not punishment, environment. It's located at the Typhoon Isles. It has a library! Huzaaah!
I did ask Mystra for help. Made a prayer for guidance. The intentions of our party do look positive so Ill see what the future holds...
