Journey to Nurglewood

Our adventurers onboard the Scarlett continued. Finn Edwardson had promised 20 gold pieces which was 3 times the average monthly income for an adventurer. We are a day out from our destination of Nurglewood in the Ostoyan Empire. We need to be mindful of the valuable cargo we have in the hold which we are to protect in order to get it to Lord Carius Marikel, especially as out of the fog two ships appeared.
 
These two ships were not friendly, and this led to a fight across the ships. Gramm was downstairs at the time, having tried to avoid Cynthia and her curiosity and he realised that Lana, the human who was also hired had betrayed us. She along with the halfling stole the cargo and escaped, using a scroll to burn a hole into the side of the boat and escape to a waiting ship.
 
Upon discussion with Finn (the captain) after this incident, it turns out he does not have the money he said he would pay us and that he was transporting a Dragon's egg for Carius. Carius has his wife and daughter as a hostage to ensure he comes back and after a group discussion, we agree to find the Dragon's Egg.
 
When we arrive in Nurglewood, Finn explains the situation but is taken away by Carius and two henchmen. We are offered three days to get the Dragon's egg, and then seek out the harbor master as he apparently would be able to signpost on where to go and who the two traitors might associate with.
