Thankfully, Juno was able to lift the curse from me this morning. Getting that armour off was like a huge weight off my shoulders, literally. Deciding we had no better use for it, Clancy and I decided to pay a visit to The Broken Mark (the general store in Raven’s Nest).
Tried to pull some intimidation tactics on Dymes, the shop owner. Was hoping it might scare him into upping his price. He said he’d get his findbroker. Well… If I wanted that I’d have gone to my new Goblin friend on Rust St… anyway.
Maybe he’s on edge? I can see his shop is a bit in disrepair. I wonder what happened?
I asked around about purchasing some spell scrolls, to work on enhancing my potency in the arcane. I was told to visit the Izzet Foundry in Precinct Four. Will have to do this when we get back.
I was told there may be a local guide to take us to Korozda at the pub, so I went to check it out. Immediately I knew, it must be the man sitting in the corner. He had… a calming sensation? He immediately asked Throom to partake in some mushrooms. Is he Golgari? These Golgari have a fascination with ‘shrooms.
Turns out he’s Guildless, works with all the Guilds. Wonder if it’s actually ALL the Guilds? Hmm.
His name is Oberon. He offered to take us to Korozda for 900gp. A small price to pay. He wanted the armour, but I think with the right buyer we could get quite a hefty fee for that one.
Apparently, our party is above paying for services… interestingly enough. In any case, we made our way back across Raven’s Nest. Dymes was packing up and leaving. Is he running scared? Perhaps we had a profound impact on him.
Our party spoke to the Prince of Xygmia, he wanted us to defeat the great old enemy they faced – called himself a veggie pygmy. To me he just looks like a small, rotten, vegetable. Very strange.
He offered to take us to the Maze of Decay. It is said to be a living maze, that’s been around for a long time. He said it’s very easy to get lost. Apparently the people that die in the maze leave behind great treasures. He specifically said DON’T TOUCH THE WALLS.
Xygmia was a teller of tall tales, conflicting, and downright awful.
But, we endure, because we must do what we need to forge ahead.
