[!]Genesis Incarcerated

by Karsus, the Ferryman of Dreams

The boat broke apart the perfectly-still golden sea, casting ripples throughout the endless expanse far beyond what the eye could see. I stared out into the azure nothingness, beholding the infinite potential which lie at hand. The new world was ours at long last, we merely needed to shape it to our wills. We grasped the golden threads which ruled over the very fundamentals of this new universe. This was to be a world ruled not by any god or penultimate being, something I could not agree with. They knew of the truth behind my existence, that dark fairy and the lot of them, I could see their thoughts, their dreams, the nightmares fueled by worries which I found oh so savory. I knew I would not squander this opportunity.

I took hold of the gilded spool and bore a second opinion, the silver threads which breached reality twinged at the exertion of my will. The others would catch on to what I am up to so I acted fast. As the one, prime world formed below they celebrated their accomplishments, but found it premature once they glanced in my direction. Looks of horror set upon their faces after they realized what I was doing. In reality, no man could become a god, the limits of power and influence had already been set, this I understood. In reality, that is. I walk upon the wire between reality and dream.

The others panicked, and reached for golden threads once more to thwart my actions. The clash of wills caused the silver thread which did my bidding to fray, and finally snap, the power fedback into my arm singing me. Anointing me. With this my right iris became gilded, and I lost my grip from the golden thread, but freed from influence of the threads was a new dimension that mirrored the world below. A land of areality. The world of Dream. These threads could not destroy, only create.

I attempted to make my escape toward this new land, but bronze threads bound me, forming a cocoon. They knew I was crafty, even in death, so instead of killing me outright, they stripped me of much of my power so as to prevent me from ever accessing the Dream. They hurled my prison into the prime plane that they formed, burying me in stone for many an age. In this prison, I entered into a deep sleep, one that I doubted I would ever wake up from on my own.
