The Masked One

Day 1
 
I don't know what to do anymore.
 
Before, my path was laid out clearly. I would marry someone from a neighboring land, hopefully someone I loved, but at least someone I could be happy to be around. Together we would look over the land we were granted, and eventually take over the duties of our parents. It would be a peaceful life. I would continue to visit the villages and working with the people there to help out with any problem they might have.
 
I don't know what to do now.
 
I haven't got much money, only what little I was able to carry with me when I checked the carriage before running.
 
I knew I should never have trusted Felix, but I also had no idea what I needed to do. Helping to figure out farming patterns is different from an entire village having a god swing a sword through it.
 
Vox told me that sometimes you could offer to play music and an establishment owner would be willing to offer either discounted or even possibly free food and a place to sleep, so I think I'm going to try that.
 
The problem is of course the fact that most people know my face. Certainly there is a lot of chaos right now, but if Felix has people looking for me, it might be dangerous for me to show my face right now.
 
I don't have much equipment right now, so I'm going to have to risk going into a town though. I guess I'll just keep my head down, pay up front, and then just stay in my room until I can think of something else.

Day 2
 
I told the innkeeper my name was Kallaria. He chuckled when he heard it and commented that his mother used to tell him the story of the Lost Prince. He asked if I had ever heard that story, which of course I had. Kallaria is the name of the peasant girl who found the prince and helped him find his way back to the stars. I told him my mother told me that story many times as well. I'm pretty sure he didn't recognize me, which I was glad for, but that does make me wonder just how rough I must truly look right now. I want to take a bath, but honestly I think it will help me get by for a bit while I figure out a better way to hide my appearance.
 
I need to go ahead and go to get some supplies. My father took me to the woods to camp a couple of times, but we still had whatever we wanted when we did that. Hopefully I can figure it out if I have what I need.
