Decided to investigate The Nest (club) near main square. Locked, but asked about in the Raven next door and bartender let us in.
 
Lockpicked several doors in the club (upstairs, behind stage) and didn't find anything. Illusory spider was hanging out on top of a bookshelf - Gyrm Commanded it to stop and Brand grabbed it from the ceiling.

Taking spider back to Telchar Wraithmail (dwarf woman - stern/chill) from Major Crimes who can speak with animals. Gyrm puts spider in a jar and gets it to start talking by burning it with holy water.
 
Spider watches the Nest office on behalf of Peter Stain. Works for a devil of some sort. We vanquish it with holy water after it refuses to give any more details.
 
Brand wants Mindy Chancer to be the new assistant. Dray interviews the candidates:
 
Yurgin Janster - Dwarf, loves research
Tyralor Elseris - Half-elf, breathy voice w/ red hair, not very confident about research
Emily Aluqaryn - Wanted us to sell her on the job, has a good amount of receptionist experience, pretty aggressive, not exactly a rule follower
Mindy Chancer - 15 years experience, not super interested but likes that it would be a change
 
Decided to hire Mindy. Left the "C" symbol with her.
 
We requested warrants for Selu's apartment and The Nest and RUGL dorms of 3 missing students.
