Session III ; Anchors Away!

This week on the seas of Prismer! We take one last stop by the queen before we set out, making some "small talk" with Jen-Rishii and her attached fuck ass wizard. The queen gives us some kind words and a sending stone for emergency communication and, much to the chagrin of Jen-Rishii, Ane-Ryounen (the aforementioned fuck ass wizard) gives us the attunement to her sending stone as well. Before we set out, Advin has some business at the bar. A lot of business at the bar as it turns out. Advin has somehow managed to rack up a tab that would make Harrier DuBois jealous in his short stay at the bar. The barkeep is... not pleased about this! So he, and by extension the rest of the crew, is given a choice. Either Advin goes to the basement and works his tab off, or we do side quests for the barkeep to pay off his tab. Hooray side quests! With nothing more to it we set out, planning a route to the east hitting many islands along the way. We set off and for the first day at least everything is calm. Everyone is left to their own devices to relax. Mistweaver stays in the crows nest, Advin takes a nap in the ice box, and Hara-Jian takes his shirt off. Alone, everyone spends the night quietly. First, Hara-Jian smokes. Through some effort and meditation, he gets in touch with a bird and annoys mistweaver with the weed smell. The bird tries to steal a spell that's been cast on Jian, though Jian manages to wrestle it out of its mouth. So then Moek Bell casually shows up like a baller, like it's nothing. They chat a bit, having a bit of a back and forth. Bell explains who cast the spell and what it does, just a friendly tracking spell from our resident fuck ass wizard. Bell kindly takes it off of Jian's hands. Elsewhere, Mistweaver goes back to the crows nest to find Lin-Devon there. He joins the Ioryde and they chat a bit, talking about where they come from. Mistweaver, despite being the captain, isn't very worldly. This journey he explains is his first real chance to explore more than just a few bits of Prismer, he's kind of a backwater bumpkin. Lin-Devon is from the temples of the Origin Isles. He wasn't born there he explains, he was [i]made[/i] there. They chat about religion, faith, and mythology. Mistweaver learns about Astriadicism, its myths, and comes to the horrifying realization that Jen-Rishii's fleet is [b]small[/b] by El standards. Finally, Advin does some reading. He reads up on the island we're currently going to, hearing tales of how nice it is there, to the point that some people just decide to never leave. Most don't in fact, the ones that do and thus share these stories are people on pressing missions. As he's reading, there's a presence over his shoulder. Knock knock, it's Selwyn. They chat, Advin tries to press as much information out of the god as he can, like oil from an olive. Selwyn has a decent amount to say, but isn't exactly giving it away for free. He doesn't trust the people of the island, something about how they're always drawn to come back has his suspicions up. That and if push comes to shove, he and Advin can't save both Mistweaver and Hara-Jian if something were to happen. Sucks for them. Everyone finishes up their conversations and the night passes on. What comes next, not even the gods know. Literally. Flavio hasn't rolled the random encounter table yet. That'll be a surprise for next time!
