Talon is a shifter part of an outlander nomad that has fallen into another timeline from the effects of Dunamancy. He spends this campaign exploring the alternate timeline of Legalia which is similar but different to his own timeline.

Talon, like many shifters, is part of the natural outlander community ‘The Green Ravens’ which travel and camp in communities far away from the industrialised, metropolitan parts of Legalia. From a young age, he was taught to be a fighter, a paragon for the protection of nature within the woodlands of Legalia, the earth that provides for him and his group; one which could be under threat if the barons and lords of Legalia continue their ever-growing greed for resources.
 
As a shifter, Talon went through a process that decided the kind of shifter he was to be. The choice is based on experience, personality, and desire and is one which every young shifter goes through. With talon being a swift, nimble, ranged fighter the powers that be chose young Talon to become a Swiftstrider, one which reflects the agility of feline predators in the wild.
 
Whilst The Green Ravens spent a lot of time preserving the wildlife, they occasionally partake in escort services, providing protection and guides through the dangerous stretches of woodland which travelers and merchants risk going through. Talon was partaking in one of these escorts when they were ambushed and outnumbered. Fighting raged on as Talon tried to protect his fellow members and those they were hired to protect, in the heat of battle Talon heard a scream, turned around and saw an arrow flying towards him. This was it, surely, he couldn’t dodge the arrow in time as he closed his eyes hoping it would miss, he reopened them in a completely different setting.
 
Talon was now in a cavern, with several armoured men fighting around him, he felt hollow, perhaps ethereal but before he had time to even rationalise what had happened, he was given an impulse to attack. The pull of the bow and several men killed involuntarily by his hands, confused, he tried to resist but a voice in his head refused to let him cede. The fighting raged on down to the last man, only Talon remained standing. As the sole survivor he turned around looking to look at the bloody battlefield only to find himself gravitated towards one man, he checked his clothing and realised something; this person, looks, smells, even feels like Talon. This suspicion was confirmed when he pulled a card that had the name ‘Talon Gold’. Who is this man, and why is he me? A million questions, very few answers.
 
When Talon left the cavern, he emerged on the outskirts of the capital Anstigat. He knew there was a contact within Anstigat which was part of the ‘Green Ravens’ and as such is the person he is searching for. As he wanders through the sprawl of urban civilisation, Talon notices that this world is different but similar. Historical events seem different here, factions in and out of existence to the one he knows. Maybe this is a dream or a nightmare, Talon can’t quite work out the powers at play here but he is determined to find the truth.
 
One thing has notably changed, he can summon the very echo that he once took the place of.
