Personal history
Kaye's mother abandoned him in front of a house she thought was his father's.
Kaye's father, even though he knew Kaye was his son, never went to tell him he was his father.
Kaye's adoption family adopted him because his elvish features weren't visible as a baby but soon found out. Their behavior towards him changed immediately. They couldn't throw him out but they never really cared about him either. Mistreating him by not giving him food or making him sleep on the floor directly.
Kaye then avoided spending time with his family and decided early on to go with the next merchant caravan to go away.
He soon arrived in a harbor where he left the merchants to find somewhere to stay. Being a child and having no coin on him he found himself in the street.
There a sailor saw him and took pity. He was a dwarf and told him that hands were needed on the deck of his ship and brought Kaye to it. The dwarf's name was Dorlyl, and he soon became a great friend and almost a father figure for Kaye. Another one whom Kaye got really close to and fast was another tiefling sailor called Meros.
They sailed together for a few years until Dorlyl got his own ship, Meros got hired on another vessel and Kaye decided to go back to the earth. Kaye stays in a pen and paper relationship with Dorlyl, as much as is possible, but Merlos disappeared with the ship he was on soon after the three disbanded.
Kaye traveled from then be it with merchants, alone or sometimes by ship again.
Finding jobs left and right, that is how he found himself headhunting a satyre.
