Appearance
Physical Description
Magnus Le Grand stands at 6’4” and weighs roughly 250 pounds of solid, battle-hardened muscle. His body is built for power, not show — broad shoulders, thick forearms, and a chest that looks carved from stone. Despite his size, his frame has a natural, balanced proportion; his muscle mass looks earned rather than inflated. Every movement carries the controlled weight of someone who’s fought thousands of battles and learned to turn brute strength into efficient precision. Even at rest, he has the bearing of a seasoned predator — relaxed, but never unready.
Body Features
His physique carries defined musculature that shows through even under armor or thick clothing — the kind of body molded by decades of adventuring rather than vanity. The veins along his forearms rise subtly when he grips his weapon or tightens a fist, a testament to long-forged endurance. His posture is upright but unforced, a natural stance that exudes command. Despite the bulk, his movements are fast and confident — the easy agility of a man who’s learned to fight with his entire body, not just his strength. His hands are large, roughened, and scarred, capable of both shattering stone and patting a companion on the shoulder with unexpected gentleness.
Facial Features
Magnus’s face is the embodiment of intensity shaped by age and experience. His skin is pale white, almost luminous under moonlight, giving his features a ghostly edge. His hair, thick and swept back, is a pure snow-white, with a few loose strands falling forward — disciplined chaos that suits him perfectly. A full beard and mustache frame his jaw, equally white and trimmed with a rough precision that balances authority with ruggedness.
His eyes are a brilliant silver, sharp and alive — always watching, always calculating. There’s humor and danger behind that metallic glint, the gaze of a man who’s fought gods, laughed in their faces, and lived to tell the tale. His brow is strong and expressive, often furrowed in thought or amusement, and his cheekbones are high and defined, giving his face a carved, commanding structure. His mouth carries a faint smirk even when still — not arrogance, but a quiet confidence that says he’s seen it all.
Identifying Characteristics
- Twin scars slash diagonally down his cheeks from the outer corners of his eyes, reminiscent of stress lines yet deeper and cleaner — visible even from a distance. They carry no sadness or shame, only proof of perseverance.
- A faint crook along the bridge of his nose, a relic from an old fight long since forgotten.
- His beard and silver eyes are known trademarks across adventuring circles — few mistake him for anyone else.
- His voice, when he speaks or laughs, rumbles like rolling thunder; even his silence seems to hold sound.
Physical quirks
- Has a habit of cracking his neck or rolling his shoulders before a fight — a low, deliberate gesture that signals confidence more than tension.
- His grin often appears mid-battle, wide and fearless, as if the chaos excites him more than it worries him.
- When deep in thought, he strokes the edge of his beard or taps his thumb against his jaw, eyes narrowing with that familiar silver glint.
- His laughter — booming, genuine, and unrestrained — tends to fill entire taverns and echo down stone halls.
- Despite his intimidating presence, his posture around allies is loose and relaxed, radiating a sense of grounded strength rather than arrogance.
Apparel & Accessories
- Chestpiece — “The Æsirheart Cuirass”
Type: Plate Armor (Divine Alloy & Froststeel)
Rarity: Legendary
Description:
Forged from overlapping plates of pale argent steel traced with runic channels, this cuirass gleams faintly even in darkness. The surface bears subtle engravings that mimic the flow of wind and the beating of a heart — a reference to the northern winds and the indomitable will of its wearer. The pauldrons are angular yet smooth, shaped like wings of frozen flame.
A faint, icy blue aura seeps through the etched runes when Magnus draws his weapon, as if the armor awakens in anticipation of battle.
Lore & Power:
Said to have been reforged from the chestplate of a fallen storm giant lord, the Æsirheart Cuirass grants immense endurance. When Magnus takes a fatal blow, a spectral pulse bursts outward, lessening the impact — the armor’s “heartbeat” protecting its master.
2. Pauldrons — “Mantle of the Dire Gale”
Type: Shoulder Armor (Enchanted Fur & Silversteel)
Rarity: Very Rare
Description:
Massive fur-lined pauldrons rest upon his shoulders, the fur pure white with faint iridescent shimmer, taken from the pelt of a frost wyrm. Golden trim runs along the outer plates, connected to emerald-threaded cords — a symbol of both status and past victories. When he moves, the fur ripples like a storm front gathering strength.
Lore & Power:
Each pauldron channels protective gusts that deflect ranged attacks and dull incoming force. When Magnus shouts a battle cry, the fur bristles and emits a single, low thunderclap — a call to arms that bolsters allies nearby.
3. Cape — “Skjoldrveil of the Northwind”
Type: Cloak / Cape
Rarity: Legendary
Description:
A sweeping sea-green cloak, heavy yet impossibly fluid, with gold tassel embroidery along its edges. The inner lining bears faint silver sigils that swirl like frozen gusts. It trails behind Magnus in motion, giving the illusion of wings or the tail of a celestial bird. Despite its weight, it never gathers dirt or moisture — even after storms or battles.
Lore & Power:
Once belonging to an ancient druidic guardian of the north, this mantle bends wind around its wearer, lessening environmental harm and muffling steps. When fully extended, it can form a barrier of wind that shields allies behind him for a short time.
4. Gauntlets — “Grímmrfangs”
Type: Gauntlets (Mythril & Dragonbone)
Rarity: Very Rare
Description:
Heavy silver-gray gauntlets engraved with snarling wolf motifs along the forearms. The knuckles are reinforced with scaled plating shaped like fangs, and faint blue light glows beneath the seams. Despite their bulk, they move with uncanny precision, allowing Magnus to wield his massive blade as if it were weightless.
Lore & Power:
When clenched, the gauntlets emit a faint growl — the echo of the direwolf spirit bound to them. They enhance Magnus’s grip strength and allow him to block blows that would shatter mortal hands.
5. Belt — “Torc of Tenacity”
Type: Belt / Waist Ornament
Rarity: Rare
Description:
A wide leather belt secured by a circular clasp of bronze and silver. The clasp depicts an intertwined knot resembling a heart wrapped in thorns — a Celtic motif for resilience. Small chains and charms hang from it, some etched with runic blessings of fortitude and calm.
Lore & Power:
While worn, it lessens fatigue, stabilizes posture, and enhances stamina regeneration. During times of great duress, the runes pulse faintly, feeding the wearer renewed resolve.
6. Greaves & Sabatons — “The Hrórstride Set”
Type: Leg and Foot Armor (Steel & Frost-forged Iron)
Rarity: Very Rare
Description:
The greaves are sleek and fluted, made of silver-blue alloy that mirrors the tones of a glacier. The joints move seamlessly, allowing Magnus to maneuver with shocking speed for his size. His sabatons end in subtly clawed points, and faint runes glow along the sides with each step — marking where he treads like footprints in frost.
Lore & Power:
These boots are said to echo the pace of the storm giants. Each stride leaves behind a faint gust of air, lightening the wearer’s weight. When Magnus charges, the first impact sends a brief shockwave, staggering lesser foes.
7. Sword — “Fjallbrandr, the Oathcarved Blade”
Type: Greatsword
Rarity: Mythic / Unique
Description:
An enormous greatsword nearly his own height, forged from celestial alloy streaked with gold and pale silver. The crossguard spreads like twin wings, detailed with filigree reminiscent of both flame and frost. The blade hums faintly when drawn, and faint inscriptions run down the fuller — a hybrid of Norse and Celtic script representing strength, loyalty, and unbroken vows.
The hilt is wrapped in dark leather from a slain leviathan, and the pommel bears a shard of crystallized mana from an ancient wyrm heart. Despite its size, the blade carries perfect balance.
Lore & Power:
“Fjallbrandr” means Mountain’s Flame — a blade forged for kings, carried by warriors. Said to have been reforged nine times across Magnus’s life, each time adapting to his soul’s growth. When his resolve hardens, the runes ignite with golden frostfire. On a critical strike, the blade releases a shockwave of searing wind and cold flame, symbolizing the merging of opposites — creation through conflict.
8. Jewelry & Accessories — “The Rings of Særthain”
Type: Rings & Pendants
Rarity: Rare to Very Rare
Description:
Magnus wears a simple silver band on his left hand, engraved with a knot pattern — a memento from an old comrade. Around his neck hangs a pendant shaped like a coiled dragon biting its own tail, representing unbroken cycles of trial and triumph.
Lore & Power:
The pendant subtly strengthens magical resistance and bolsters willpower against fear and mind-altering effects. The ring, however, is purely sentimental — a token that grounds him when rage or memory threatens to consume his clarity.

- This Title manifests only in those whose ferocity and survival instinct rival the ancient wolf Fenrir. The World Tree brands them as a living weapon — a predator of fate itself. No more than one being can bear this Title at a time.
- Silver Hunger:
- Once per short or long rest, when you hit a creature with a melee attack, you may channel Fenrir’s blessing:
- The attack counts as magical and silvered for overcoming resistance and immunity. It deals extra radiant damage equal to your proficiency bonus. If you already have magical or silvered attacks, the extra radiant damage is doubled.
- Feral Instinct:
- You gain advantage on Initiative rolls and Perception checks that rely on hearing or smell.
- Predator’s Drive:
- When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, choose one: Regain one expended 1st-level spell slot, or Regain one use of a limited-use class feature (such as Rage, Ki Points equal to proficiency bonus, Bardic Inspiration die, or Superiority Die). You can use this feature once per short or long rest.

- When you would be reduced to 0 HP but not killed outright, make a Constitution saving throw (DC 10 + damage taken). On a success, you instead drop to 1 HP, your body wreathed in faint silver light until the end of your next turn. This light counts as dim light in a 10-foot radius and reveals invisible creatures. You can use this feature once per long rest.

- When a creature within 10 feet of you falls below half its maximum HP, you must succeed on a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or immediately target that creature with your next attack or damaging spell.
