Personal history

Born into an old noble family in knotside Cedric had every advantage available to him. He was educated by the finest tutors and taught combat techniques by the finest instructors money could buy. To some this seemed to be the perfect life.
 
As the heir to the Warren family he was expected by his parents to be perfect in every thing he did in order to honor his family. This led to his life being dominated by his studies which would start before sunrise and end well into the night. If he were to ever fail he was dealt swift and brutal punishment at the hands of his father be it beatings, starvation, or being locked away for days at a time. This led to him developing severe depression.
 
After years of this cycle Cedric lashed out at his father and struck him. This led to the worst beating he had ever suffered almost leading to his death. He still bears the scars across his back from his father lashing him for hours.
 
The one bright spot in his life came when he was betrothed to aleksandra. The time that his parents allotted him to be with her were his only real moments of freedom. She was his first and best friend. At first he had just resigned himself to his parents wishes, but over time he began waiting for the day when their marriage would be made official.
 
Through the princess he met Demetrius. He would become one of his most trusted allies and biggest rivals. Through their competitions he would grow as a person and open up to others. When the queen gave birth to her second daughter Cedric took to ophelia immediately. He would take every opportunity to tell her stories of grand adventures and teaching her little bits of combat.
 
After a particularly bad encounter with his father at the age of 15 after he was caught sneaking out of the house that ended with him being burned with a brand Cedric sought to end his own life. He took himself to one of the bridges in town and was ready to jump when demetrius happened upon him. Demetrius spent the entire night with him on the bridge eventually managing to convince him to come home with him. From that point onward Cedric has always been ready to do anything for demetrius since he owes him his life.
 
 
Everything changed when the plague struck. He was quarantined to his home and was unable to see his closest friends. His family ended up unscathed but the city was devastated.
 
With this came the campaign to prevent aleksandra from inheriting the throne. With the laws supporting this came his parents retracting the arranged marriage to aleksandra.
 
Devastated by this situation Cedric began sneaking away from his family and gallivanting around town. Taking on a false identity he would go participate in fighting pits be it betting or fighting himself.
