Personal history

Erwan was born into the Argail family in Brittany on the border with the Frankish Empire. They were soon took into the Frankish Empire due to the family skills as smith. Their works are finely detailed and usually paired with other high quality goods such as weapons, armour, clothing and house furnishings.
 
He was trained from a young age in the skills of gem-cutting, and mounting on jewellery & other items. Having the family knack at his job, he quickly developed into a prized gem smith and moved around in the Frankish Empire earning good pay. Learning all the time from many others including foreign gemsmiths that travel through the Empire, he has recently been employed by Charlemagne's Court.
 
Eventually travelling down to Eschbach, he found the new town section to his liking with a shop with enough room from his workshop. Close to the dyers &leather workers to the south, the Ludger clan forge across the road to the west, and a perfect shop for his two brothers to use right beside him to the north. Now permanently settling down, he is starting to take root here, and so far has shown his abilities are well positioned due to the trade coming through Eschbach.
 
Working closely with his brothers and the Ludger clan has so far proven even more effective business-wise. The local carpenters have shown interest recently and he has cut gems for many locals for one reason or another.
