Ennaeus was born on the ship Ex Tenebris Lux, one of the Black Ships of the Adeptus Astra Telepathica. Trained from youth, he now serves as a loyal sanctioned psyker.

Ennaeus spent the entirety of his youth aboard his birth-ship, the Ex Tenebris Lux, where he was born to a pair of psyker parents. Delighting in their ability to provide the Imperium with another servant, his parents gladly gave him into the care of the Adeptus Astra Telepathica, where he underwent the harsh training necessary to become a sanctioned pysker, just like them.
Ennaeus serves the Adeptus Astra Telepathica in word and deed, and has taken the name of his birth ship as a personal creed: Ex Tenebris Lux. From Darkness, Light. He believes that the assassinations and memory wipes he carries out are in service to the greater good of the Imperium of Man.
However, he harbors a dangerous secret: deep within, buried so well he can almost hide it from himself, is a kernel of doubt, the sharp edges of which prod at the tender parts of him, begging him to uncover it and allow himself to realize the truth of his discomfort with his role and the acts it has forced him to perform.
To keep himself safe from himself, Ennaeus hides behind a blank, monotonous façade, rarely allowing himself to express strong emotion and never permitting himself the luxury of forming true connections with those around him.
