Personal history

Nectarine was raised in a fae village in the south of Faranos, where everyone is considered part of one large communal family. She was raised by all the adults collectively in the village, alongside all the other children. Her village had about 100 adults in its population when she was growing up, and on average only 1 baby is born every year. Neck was actually a second baby born in her village in her birth year, rare but not unheard of. The first, a fae named Amanita Sugarcoat, was her closest friend for most of her childhood.

Nectarine started breaking the law around the same time Amanita received a sizable scholarship to the Dabgnikaerb school of tinkering and began an illustrious engineering career there. Nectarine came along with her friend to the big city for the big adventure but came to resent her success. She fell in with a group of dropouts from the tinkering college who were mostly interested in tinkering uhhhh… burglary tools and other contraband. Things fell apart with Amanita and the college and everything, and ultimately Nectarine cut all ties with Amanita and was absorbed into the Gäelume underworld economy.
