Personal history

Griya was raised by Vedalken parents and had a happy childhood. She was surrounded by knowledge and her parents fostered her curiosity. Upon completing highschool, she went to a nearby prestigious research university. It was during this time that she was approached by a representative of the Semic Research team who offered her a job upon graduation. She accepted. Thrust into a world where the only limit to her research was her own imagination, she thrived. Her first assignment came when she was 43: find what made the dwarves so mighty, despite their smaller stature. Having grown up in an area where dwarves abounded, she already knew the language (part of the reason that she was chosen, to be sure). 30 years later, her superiors sent her to live amongst the elves to learn what she could.
And learn she did. The elves taught her how to use a bow and a hunting dagger-- as well as how to make the most of her quarry (how she learned leatherworking). She learned about the dragons and their kin in their endless libraries and taught herself draconic. She learned what it was to love and be loved at the hands of an Elf named Aelar Diamonddew. They had a daughter, Xanaphia, who was lost in a tragic accident.
After 50 years with the elves (she was 123 years old at this point), she set off to find dragon kin. She failed, miserably, but she ended up finding something better. She fell in love with a tiefling (Akmenos) at 126 years old and they had a set of twins boys (Melech and Morthos). Griya learned Infernal to better communicate with her new loved ones. Akmenos died about 60 years later, and with an empty nest (as her twin boys were grown), Griya decided to restart her search for dragon kin.
It’s been a little over 10 years since then. A mysterious letter sits spread across Griya’s desk, along with several books on Sylvan, Primordial, various histories, and arcana. She’s been having recurring dreams of the stars in which a raven constellation lights up the sky in brilliant flashes of multi-colored lights. She scribbles in a new notebook, anxious for her newest adventure to begin.
