Personal history

I was born in Raveton to the standard, Asmodeus-fearing family. I had one brother (before I murdered him), and I used to help out arounf the house. Back to the murder though. It was the first time I acted upon the voice in my head. It started as a fuzzy buzzing and then as the weeks went by I began to here two words,"Kill. Brother." Family murder is not as looked down on as you'd think were I'm from. Only the strongest survive right? So there I was one night laying on my cot when my mind seemed to fill up with a black smoke. From the haze came the voice again, but this time it was louder. It told me to murder my brother and become one of the legion. It called itself the black pharaoh and I felt more compelled to follow its message. I grabbed my father's musket off the rack near the front door and brought it into my sleeping brother's room. He was only 6 at the time and I was all grown up at 11 already. I pointed the barrel at his head and squeezed the trigger. The cloudy smoke in my head instantly vanished and i felt a sense of clarity unlike everything I'd felt before. It was as though the door to the universe's secrets were in front of me and my mind was the key. The voice returned and asked me to prove my newfound loyalty by carving some symbol into my chest. I bled a lot but with the pain came the same clarity, as though i was on the edge of discovering the secret to life itself. My parents had mixed reactions to my murdering of my brother and the excessive blood dripping from me. The next day after burying my brother, I was sent out in search of work to keep me busy by my parents. It's been six years since then and I've murdered many more for the dark pharaoh, although he is always picky about his targets. So yeah, that's my story I guess.
