The dwarf is a loyal member of the Xanathar Guild, and after being kidnapped and held hostage in the cellar of The Smoke & Stagger, has revealed some crucial information about the Xanathar. He is unkempt, greasy, missing a few teeth, and reeks of the mold, spores, and mushrooms he cultivates in his free time. Atop his head rests a leather skullcap fashioned to have 10 eye-stalks protruding from it, as if it were modeled after a Beholder.
 
Ott, a devout worshipper of Zuggtmoy, the demon queen of fungi, has the nerve-wracking task of tending to Xanathar's pet fish, Sylgar. He works tirelessly to make sure nothing happens to the gold fish, lest Xanathar fly into a mindless rage and take his wrath out on his underlings.
 
He has no idea how he was kidnapped or why, but he doesn't very much care so long as he gets back to Sylgar before the Xanathar does.
