A Libertian gambler living the high life Newport when the party met him at the Gamber's Den. He was on Walton's recruitment list for his expedition to the Athenaeum, and the party recruited him by settling a gambling debt for him.
Unfortunately, Walton went missing shortly after, and Damion has become a close ally ever since - both in finding Walton, and in aiding the party in general, who he now treats as close friends. After the death of Mayor Trigby, Damion fled Newport with the party and his new allies - Freida and Wilda.
He is suave, self assured, and something of a silver tongue, but he has a weakness for challenges beyond his skillset. During the party's misadventures he became involved in a relationship with Arcano, though the pair had a fair share of spats and disagreements.
Damion served as an advisor and castellan to the party during their ordeals. He was largely responsible for their operations in Gravesford and for getting the run-down village back into shape while coordinating the construction of their castle.
Unfortunately, the Dvorovoy incident would spell the end for Damion Hartfeld. He was no fighter and was found slain in the old priests house. In his honour, the castle of The Reach was named Castle Hartfeld and Damion's spirit lives on in the fire within the party's hearts.
